Deon started his career with the South African Railways in 1982.
From 1989 to 1996 he worked at Alberto Municipality, designing, planning and project managing roads and stormwater projects.
Working for Allyson Lawless (Pty) Ltd and Knowledge Base Cc from 1996 to 2002, he was involved in assisting with developing civil design software. He was also involved in sales, support, training and testing civil design software. GIS strategizing, planning, implementation, data capturing and project management.
He joined Kantey &Templer Consulting Engineers as an associate to the head of the civils department with multiple projects.
In 2005, he became a director at Klunene Consulting Engineers.
Deon started his own consulting company in April 2019, heading the company as the managing director.

Neil started his career at Klunene Consulting Engineers in 2008 and gained experience in the engineering and construction industry.
He joined Kantey & Templer Consulting Engineers in June 2017, where he worked on multiple engineering projects.
In September 2019, he joined forced with Deon at Pinau and became the director of the civils department in 2020.
He is a registered Professional Engineering Technologist. He has specialized in municipal infrastructure engineering focusing on; investigations, feasibility studies, planning, conceptual designs, project design, tender documentation, procurement and the management of projects and contracts. He has experience in working on a wide variety of engineering projects.
